The Valve Technician is responsible for the assembly, integration, maintenance, and inspection of fluidic components such as valves, sensors, and actuators. They perform tests, diagnose malfunctions, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure system compliance, safety, and quality. They document their work and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and equipment.

Tasks & missions

General Missions

  • Analyze and interpret drawings, diagrams, design files, and technical documents provided by engineering.
  • Prepare, assemble, and integrate valves and fluidic components within propulsion systems.
  • Install, connect, and configure sensors and actuators (pressure, flow, temperature, etc.).
  • Perform pneumatic and fluidic tests in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Verify the functional compliance and tightness of the systems.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the debugging and optimization of fluidic systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test equipment and fluidic systems.
  • Document interventions through test reports and traceability records

Project Activities:

  • Collaborate with engineers during the design, integration, and validation phases of systems.
  • Participate in the planning of integration and test activities.
  • Monitor assigned operations and report critical technical points to the line manager.
  • Contribute to ensuring quality, safety, cost, and schedule requirements are met for projects.

Cross-functional Activities:

  • Communicate the progress of work within the propulsion department and with partner teams (mechanical, testing, quality, production).
  • Participate in inter-departmental technical meetings.
  • Contribute to feedback and continuous improvement of processes and technical solutions.

Preferred experience & skills

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of fluidic systems and valve technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Understanding of instrumentation and wiring of sensors and actuators.
  • Skills in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in test and inspection procedures.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Detail-oriented and rigorous.
  • Autonomous while being able to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in the integration, assembly, or maintenance of fluidic or mechanical systems.
  • Desired experience: 3 to 5 years in fluid systems.

  • We review your profile and schedule a short call (approximately 30 minutes) to understand your current situation, your motivations and expectations for this role, while outlining the next steps.
  • If we’re aligned, you’ll meet with the Head of Department and a member of the HR team for an interview (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours). Depending on the position, a technical test may sometimes be part of the process.
