As a Test Technician at Impulse Space, you will own all aspects of test equipment implementation and operation while working closely with a fast paced, agile team.

Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, operate and maintain test equipment
- Perform testing operations on a variety of test equipment including pressurization and propellant systems
- Operate fluid and mechanical systems
- Maintain tools, service shop equipment, and stock consumables.
- Provide direct test support for rocket engine testing
- Perform Pneumatic and Hydro Proof testing
- Supports the shop standard of a clean and well-organized shop based on 5S regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of professional experience in aerospace or other relevant operations or test environment
- Experience with the safe operation of pressure, electrical, power and data acquisition systems
- Proficient with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools)
- Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies from basic technical requirements
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to ever changing situations
- Capable of working in team and or solo environment
- Comfortable working outdoors year round
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy while working within a fast-paced production environment
- Demonstrated experience with calibration/metrology of pressure, flow, temperature, and electrical test devices
- Perform pneumatic and hydro proof testing
- Build and maintain test facilities including propellant, high pressure, cryogenic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Disassembly and precision cleaning of valves, regulators and other components
- Ability to read, understand and follow detailed schematics, drawings, P&ID’s and Instructions
- Perform fabrication, installation, and maintenance of fluid systems, Panels, and tubing
- Perform system level troubleshooting of test stand equipment and hardware
- Repairs and services high pressure hydraulic and gaseous systems
- Tubing fabrication- Bending, flaring, and installing tubes for multiple applications
- Work alongside engineers to build and maintain rocket motors, test articles, and execute procedures for hazardous operations
- Proficient with precision calibrated tools: torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers
- Ability to operate Warehouse Forklift, Telehandler, Boom lift

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
