Job Description

The position is responsible for the following:
- Representing and selling designated monitoring surveys and engineering products
- Software for monitoring and engineering applications
- Services to new and existing customers in a defined territory
What you get to do:
- Develop new customers and maintain existing customers base, represent, market, demonstrate and sell monitoring products and related services to the Monitoring and engineering market.
- Provide pre-sales consultation services to determine the hardware and software solutions that best fit the customers’ requirements and applications.
- Meet or exceed designated quarterly and yearly sales targets as well as develop forecast reports to be provided on a monthly basis.
- Propose marketing, advertising and other promotional activities that are required for the territory, such as email/direct mail campaigns, road shows, open house events, etc.
- Attend and exhibit various trade shows, conferences and seminars within the designated territory to promote the Leica Geosystems brand and survey solutions monitor market conditions and developments within the territory and develop sales initiatives to address territorial needs.
- Partner with the sales and technical team to help support customers and generate new business.
- Stay up to date on competitive solutions and how to sell the features, benefits and value of the Leica Geosystem solutions when in head-to-head situations.
Responsibilities:

- Monitor market conditions and developments within the region and develop sales initiatives to address territorial needs.

- Business travel will be approximately 50-70%, with periodic overnight stays required.
- The ideal candidate would reside in Canada or willing to relocate to the territory. Out of Province and country travel will be required periodically.
Desired Skills
Desired Skills:
- A degree from a technical institution or accredited college. An emphasis on surveying, Geo Technical, civil engineering or a related field is a plus.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in surveying, engineering, instrumentation and monitoring or other related geo-spatial fields.
- A strong understanding of, and experience with, Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, Multi Stations, GNSS Receivers, Field Data Collectors/software, Digital Levels and Office Processing Software.
- Experience with Leica Geosystems survey products is preferred but not required.
- A Licensed Professional Surveyor or Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.
- A strong aptitude for technology, sales, communication and presentation skills.
- An ideal candidate would be self-motivated, goal oriented and relationship driven.
- Must be well organized and manage time efficiently.
- Must be proficient will Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) as well as CRM applications, such as Salesforce.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
- In addition to excellent English written and verbal skills, French is a plus.
- Likes to learn and is open to continuous feedback.
