The Survey Direct Sales Representative position is responsible for representing and selling land survey equipment (Robotic Total Stations, MultiStations, GPS, Data Controllers, and Processing Software) and services to our Civil Survey Segment customers in California, Nevada, and Arizona. This is a great opportunity for a land surveyor interested in pivoting their career to sales. Sales training provided! This is a sales compensation model with base pay plus commission. 50% travel throughout the assigned territory is required.

Desired Skills

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Sales calls and closing sales orders by assessment of customer needs and matching identified needs with Leica survey products and services.
  • Advising new & existing clients on new solutions to their surveying & engineering challenges with a view to becoming more efficient & cost effective.
  • Demonstration of equipment as appropriate. Equipment to include Robotic Total Stations (with & without imaging), MultiStations, GPS (Reference Networks), Data Controllers (Captivate) and Processing Software (Infinity).
  • Develop new clients and maintains existing clients.
  • Propose local advertising/promotion and direct mail campaigns.
  • Proposes/assist in trade shows, conferences and exhibitions.
  • Propose and conduct customer seminars.
  • Provide assistance to clients on technical questions: refer to Technical Services or other divisions within the Corporation as required.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High level of technical ability utilizing robotic total stations and GNSS solutions for construction layout activities
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction and surveying industries
  • Degree from technical institute or commercial college with an emphasis on surveying or civil engineering or related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in all applications of surveying and related software.
  • A strong aptitude for sales along with excellent technical, communications and presentation skills required. Must be proficient in the working of Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and E-mail.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.


BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience as a surveyor, survey party chief, and other related surveying professions using Leica Robotic Total Stations
  • Previous experience in sales
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices


ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Territory: Remote Position focusing on California, Nevada, and Arizona
Pay range: base pay plus commission with OTE around $160K
