Who are we looking for?

We are actively looking for an engineer or physics-oriented profiles to join our Aerospace department, contributing to the day-to-day design & flight dynamics operations of FOSSA Systems satellite fleet.

We are searching for individuals who know how to work in dynamic, young and agile teams, willing to contribute to the development of both hardware and software solutions for space applications.

You will be able to participate in the different steps of the development cycle for all our internal developments in ground, space and user segments, with a strong emphasis on R&D.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and operation of AOCS subsystems
  • Contribute to both the development of flight and ground aerospace software
  • Contribute to the conceptual / preliminary design of FOSSA space platforms
  • Participate in the full-life cycle of space subsystems, including testing and integration
  • Development of Flight Dynamics products & tools
  • Participate in R&D activities across FOSSA segments.
  • Contributing to problem-solving, analysis & optimization across FOSSA ecosystem
  • Generate project documentation (reports, tests campaigns, etc)

Profile

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar
  • Proficiency in software development, particularly in science-oriented languages (C, Python, Matlab, Julia)
  • Experience in highly technical research projects
  • Solid knowledge of applied mathematics & numerical methods
  • Solid background in Astrodynamics / Space Mechanics
  • System-engineering-driven mindset
  • Hands-on experience in simulation-based / modelling-based projects
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation, analysis notes, test procedures, and verification reports
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills within a technical team

Preferably

  • MSc in Space, Control Engineering, Applied Mathematics or similar
  • 1+ experience in the Space Industry / Academia
  • Basic background in Control Theory, including Kalman estimation and advanced Control techniques
  • Experience in mission design, trajectory optimization & space navigation
  • Contributions to open-source space-oriented software projects
  • Hands-on technical experience through a rocketry team, CubeSat project, equivalent engineering club or academic project.
  • Proactive approach to engineering and problem solving in high demand and critical scenarios
