Digantara is looking for a passionate FPGA Engineer to design and develop satellite payload electronics. The engineer will be responsible for end-to-end development of payload electronics, which is capable of image acquisition and edge processing, catering to Space Situational Awareness (SSA).

Ideal Candidate:
Someone with expertise in end-to-end design and development of satellite payload electronics/ground-based imaging systems.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with satellite electrical, mechanical and optical engineers to translate the system requirements into specifications of the Payload electronics.

Design and develop the hardware and software architecture of the Payload electronics
to accomplish on-board image capture and processing.
Review the hardware requirements, bill of materials and guide the PCB design engineers to generate high quality layout with efficient thermal management.
Lead a team of FPGA and embedded software developers to develop RTL/Firmware design requirements, architecture, and verification plans.
Review the verification and validation, board-level test results throughout the development lifecycle.

Plan and execute the hardware realization and interact with external vendors to realize high-quality payload electronics.
Qualifications:
B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics Engineering or M.Tech/M.E. or PhD degree in Microelectronics/Embedded Systems/Electronics Systems/VLSI
3+ years of demonstrated experience in end-to-end design and development of electronics systems/satellite payload electronics life cycle, which is built around high-speed FPGA/SoC
Strong proficiency in VHDL/Embedded C with expertise in FPGA/SoC design flow using Vivado/Libero EDA tools
Deep understanding of FPGA, ARM Cortex processor architecture, and techniques for resource-optimal RTL/firmware implementation
Strong expertise in troubleshooting hardware and firmware issues during the hardware development lifecycle

Proficiency in working with FPGA/SoC development kits and electronic test equipment
Preferred Qualities:
Experience in developing reliable and robust FPGA/SoC designs for satellite payloads is a significant plus.
Knowledge of the latest advancements in FPGA/SoC-based satellite payload electronics development.
Familiarity with the standards for satellite hardware development is an advantage.
Familiarity with digital image processing techniques.
Knowledge of algorithm implementation in MATLAB/Python
