About the role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager based in Bari
This is a rare opportunity to become a founding and important member of a growing, well-funded company. You’ll collaborate with Italy’s most premium and regarded restaurants.
As a member of the regional sales team, you will report to the Sales Lead and your role will focus on developing new relationships with restaurants and stores.
This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.

What you’ll be doing

  • Map, prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across your region in an organised fashion. This means being an area-level expert including knowing the up-and-coming restaurants and which restaurants customers crave most

  • Support partners in joining Deliveroo, providing the best experience to them

  • Communicate (physical visits, email, calls, or social media) with restaurants to demonstrate Deliveroo technology

  • Help restaurant owners/managers overcome any barriers or hesitations

  • Attend restaurant and food meet-ups

Requirements

  • You must be comfortable with targeting new business and have Sales Experience

  • The job requires confidence or experience dealing with partners/customers, whether it be face-to-face, through phone or email

  • Experience in demonstrating product and industry knowledge to clients

  • You will need to be comfortable with negotiations

  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus

  • You will need to be tenacious

Compensation

  • National Collective Agreement (CBA): CCNL Commercio e Terziario

  • Classification Level: Livello 4

The total target compensation (OTE (On-Target Earnings, ovvero la retribuzione totale prevista al raggiungimento del 100% degli obiettivi) for this role is €35,200 – €44,000 gross per year, of which the base salary range is €17,200 – €26,000. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed above and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

This position is not eligible for consideration for an equity/RSU grant.
