The Opportunity
We're seeking a versatile Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems across a broad range of technical domains. Rather than being confined to a single team or technology stack, you'll contribute wherever your expertise creates the greatest value—whether that's core platform architecture, customer-facing experiences, infrastructure, internal systems, data services, or entirely new product initiatives.

What You'll Own
- Lead critical engineering initiatives from initial concept through architecture, implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and modern web experiences that support a rapidly growing customer base.
- Rapidly prototype new concepts, validate assumptions with users, and iterate based on data and business impact.
- Contribute across multiple areas of the platform, adapting to evolving priorities and opportunities.
- Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate execution, improve code quality, and uncover innovative technical solutions.
- Participate in technical planning, architecture reviews, and engineering strategy discussions.
- Help establish best practices that improve reliability, scalability, developer productivity, and system performance.

Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
- Experience working in startup environments, ideally as an early engineering hire, founding engineer, or founder.
- Strong track record of delivering products, features, or systems that achieved meaningful user or business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple technologies and problem domains without rigid specialization.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable production systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, APIs, and distributed systems concepts.
- Hands-on experience incorporating AI-powered development tools and LLM-based workflows into daily engineering practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach to problem solving.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and independently drive initiatives forward.
- Founder or startup-building experience.
- History of shipping products from zero-to-one or scaling products through rapid growth phases.
- Strong portfolio of personal projects, open-source contributions, technical blogs, demos, or side ventures.
- Experience building customer-facing SaaS, eCommerce, marketplace, AI, or platform products.
- Background working in high-growth technology organizations with demanding technical standards.
