We're looking for a senior-level, hands-on Principal Engineer who will spend approximately 50% of their time actively coding, with the remaining time focused on architecture decisions, technical mentorship, documentation, system design discussions, and cross-functional collaboration. This is an individual contributor role with no direct people management responsibilities.

You'll own the design, development, and operation of backend systems that support enterprise retail partnerships, including APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and partner-facing platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, enterprise SaaS applications, and cloud-based systems, and enjoys solving complex business and technical challenges at scale.

We're particularly interested in engineers who have worked within retail, grocery, ecommerce, or retail technology environments, understand enterprise integrations and operational workflows, and can work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. This role is best suited for someone who still loves building software daily while also providing technical leadership and influencing engineering direction across teams.
