About the Role:
We are looking for a GIS Mapping and HD Mapping Annotator to join our team and contribute to the creation, refinement, and quality assurance of high-definition maps for autonomous driving, navigation, and other geospatial applications. You will be responsible for annotating, validating, and improving map data using LiDAR point clouds, satellite imagery, and other spatial datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Annotate and label high-definition map features, road networks, and infrastructure elements.
  • Process, analyze, and validate geospatial data, including LiDAR point clouds, aerial imagery, and GPS data.
  • Conduct quality control to ensure accuracy and consistency of HD map data.
  • Collaborate with GIS engineers and data scientists to refine mapping workflows and automation techniques.
  • Utilize mapping and annotation tools, including GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and HD mapping platforms.
  • Perform spatial data editing, segmentation, and attribute tagging as per project requirements.
  • Assist in training AI models by providing high-quality annotations and feedback.
  • Document processes and contribute to the development of best practices in HD mapping annotation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must speak professional/fluent English language
  • 1+ years of experience in GIS, HD mapping, or spatial data annotation preferred
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and point cloud processing tools (e.g., LAStools, CloudCompare, or similar).
  • Experience with annotation tools for HD mapping and LiDAR data.
  • Understanding of spatial data structures, geodatabases, and coordinate reference systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large geospatial datasets.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with HD maps for autonomous vehicles, robotics, or smart cities.
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other scripting languages for GIS automation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning applications in geospatial annotation.
  • Background in 3D data processing and visualization.
