We are looking for a Plasma Physics Expert at our Massy site, to support the rapid growth.

Attached to the R&D Team, you will be responsible for:

Main responsibilities:

πŸ“Œ Reviewing and approving technical documents, both generated internally and with suppliers and customers,

πŸ“Œ Leading specific activities linked with research activities on plasma science.

πŸ“Œ Help develop the technical expertise of the team through the writing of best practices and design guidelines.

πŸ“Œ Be the reference to define test plans, validation strategies and technological roadmap on plasma science

πŸ“Œ Identifying innovative technologies (material, manufacturing, product, …) or methodologies to be further studied
πŸ“Œ Mobilising resources for exploration of innovative technologies and methodologies

Preferred Experience πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

Education: Master’s or PhD (preferred) in plasma science, electric propulsion, materials science, aerospace engineering.
πŸ“Œ Strong experience (> 10 yr) in plasma science and plasma thruster design, from concepts to design reviews and assembly and testing activities, including proficiency in designing tests for thruster assemblies

πŸ“Œ Strong knowledge of the design of a complete propulsion system based on a plasma thruster

πŸ“Œ Strong experience in thruster assembly test systems development, test preparation, data processing

πŸ“Œ Strong experience in magnetics design tools (FEMM, Comsol)

πŸ“Œ Experience with CAD software is preferred (Solidworks)

πŸ“Œ Strong technical leadership in multi-team technical meetings

πŸ“Œ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with colleagues and external stakeholders
